For the annual golf tour

Your tour deserves better than a WhatsApp thread.

A private web app built for your golf tour. Live scores, matchplay results, standings, prizes and every dog licence on record. Your group, your rules, run by your captains.

What's inside

Everything your tour argues about, settled in one place.

Here is every screen your group gets, and what each one is for. Same app, your names, your courses, your rules.

Home

The score, and what you owe

The team score and the race to the Cup sit at the top of every screen, so nobody has to ask where things stand. Below that, each player only sees what they still need to do.

  • Live team score and how many points each side still needs
  • An alert if somebody entered a score for you
  • How many cards are in for each day, and who is still out there

Teams & profiles

The part they actually open first

Two teams, everyone's photo, handicap and captain badge. Each player fills in their own profile, so by the first tee everyone knows who they are up against and has already had a laugh at somebody's photo.

  • Both teams side by side, with photos, handicaps and captains marked
  • A profile each: photo, bio, best shot ever and worst excuse
  • Everyone picks the one player they most want to beat

Matches & results

The draw, and results that stick

Captains set the format and the pairings for each round. When a match finishes, either side logs the result and the opposing team confirms it. If somebody flags it, a captain settles it.

  • Betterball, singles, medal, whatever your tour plays
  • Results confirmed by the other side, not just claimed
  • Halved matches marked clearly, so nobody misses them

Scores

Cards nobody can argue with

Gross and net for every player, every day. If somebody cards a score for you it shows as pending until you accept it, and if you think it is wrong you contest it and a captain sets the final number.

  • Every day's cards, grouped by round
  • Pending scores flagged in amber until the player accepts
  • Scorecard photos attached, so the numbers can be checked

Standings

Who is winning the Cup

Every confirmed result turns into team points, round by round, so the Cup race is never in dispute. Individual scores live on the Scores tab; this is the team picture.

  • Points per round, plus the running total
  • Bonus points included, so the maths is all in one place
  • Updates the moment a result is confirmed

Awards

Prizes, winners and the money

Every prize your tour plays for, in one place. The app works out the ones it can from the scores, and captains pick the ones only a human saw, like longest drive. The money adds up as each prize is finalised.

  • Auto prizes: champion golfer, best round, biggest beatdown
  • Captain-picked: longest drive, closest to the pin, first birdie
  • A running money list, so everyone knows who gets paid what

The permanent record

Every win, hiding and dog licence gets posted automatically as it happens. It sits on the home page, and it is the bit the group keeps scrolling back through months later.

  • Scroll back through any day of the tour
  • Nothing gets quietly forgotten

Rules

Your rules, not the R&A's

The gimme range, the fines, the punishments, the one rule named after somebody in your group. Captains write them in the app, everyone reads the same version, and nobody argues from memory on the tee.

  • Captains add, edit and reorder rules from a phone
  • Everyone sees the same version, instantly
  • Settles the argument before it starts

Gimmes

Dog licence
Lose by 10 on net in singles, or 7 & 6 in doubles, and you are on your knees at the fines meeting.

Ladies' tee
Fail to clear it and the tequila is waiting at the fines meeting.

It is a web app, and that is the point

Nothing to download and no app store. Everyone opens their own private link once and adds it to their home screen, where it sits with a proper icon and opens full screen like any other app. Works the same on iPhone and Android, and when I fix or add something everyone has it straight away.

Run by your captains

You will not need me on tour.

Your captains get full control inside the app. If something changes on the morning of Day 2, they change it, from the first tee, on a phone.

  • Add and edit players
  • Set formats and pairings
  • Open and lock scoring
  • Edit the rules
  • Set the prizes
  • Settle disputes
  • Post the itinerary
  • Upload photos

How it works

Four steps, and you see it before you pay.

  1. 1

    Tell me about your tour

You get a short setup sheet: tour name, dates, the two teams, your captains and how many rounds you are playing. Players are optional.

  2. 2

    I build it

Your own site with your teams, courses and branding in place, and your own private database, so your scores and photos are separate from everyone else's.

  3. 3

    You look before you pay

I send you a locked preview so you can see exactly what your group is getting.

  4. 4

    Pay and play

Pay by EFT, I unlock it, and your captains take it from there. Every player gets their own private link.

What it costs

One payment, one tour, no subscription.

Pay once by EFT and it is yours for the tour. Split across a twenty-man group it is less than a round of drinks each.
